How to reach us

  • From Vilnius or Kaunas. From the stops on the Vilnius-Kaunas highway to the central entrance of the museum is ~ 1.8 km. Bus timetables can be found here.
  • From Vilnius or Kaunas. It is ~5 km from the stop in Pravieniškės to the central entrance of the museum. Train schedules can be found here.
  • From Kaunas to Rumšiškės. From May to September, on weekends and holidays, the minibus goes to the "Muziejus" stop. On other days - to the stop of Rumšiškės pavilion. From this stop to the central entrance of the museum is ~500 m. Minibus timetables can be found here.
  • Route on the main road A1 / E85 (Vilnius-Kaunas-Klaipėda).
  • The price of parking for 24 hours is 2 EUR. All vehicles are allowed to leave for free during the first 30 minutes and within 30 minutes after paying for parking in the museum parking lot.

  • Sailing from the old Kaunas Lagoon pier in Pažaislis to the museum. The ship sails every Sunday from May to September. More detailed information and timetables can be found here (in Lithuanian) or by calling tel.: +370 686 00829.

You can find the museum’s opening hours here.

We do (except on Mardi Gras), but only with muzzles, leashes and poop bags. Please note that dogs are not allowed inside the exhibitions.

You can eat at the Tavern and the Teahouse. The tavern is located near the Lithuania Minor sector, open during the season on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 7 pm. The teahouse is located in the museum town, open during the season on weekdays from 11 am to 5 pm. On weekends from 10 am to 6 pm. Working hours may change during museum events and holidays, i.e. we will work longer as needed.

The museum roads are accessible with prams, strollers and wheelchairs. Roads are paved with asphalt or gravel, the town square is paved with stones, and there is a smooth path around the square. Disabled people who need wheelchairs can enter the museum territory with their cars free of charge.
