This Sunday, September 28, at 12:00 pm, we invite you to a lively and bustling Crafts and Works Day at the Open Air Museum of Lithuania! Admission to the museum is free this Sunday.

Traditional crafts and daily chores will come to life at the museum. Here you will be able to learn and see how wool is spun, whistles are made, sculptures are carved, straw gardens are tied, knives are sharpened, tar is produced, and šakočiai and čirviniai pancakes are baked. Are you curious about how people used to wash their clothes by hand or iron with a coal-heated iron?

Those who wish will be able to take part in various workshops themselves – crochet, weave, decorate and learn other traditional household tasks.

Come with your family and friends to learn about ancient crafts and chores, learn from masters, and experience a true celebration of living tradition!
