14th January “French retreat from Moscow” dramatization

Winter 1812-1813: From what was once undefeatable Grande Armée only a shadow remains. Last soldiers of a beaten and frozen French army are retreating from Russian campaign towards Lithuania. A detachment of these soldiers, consisting of French, Lithuanian and Polish troops, is heading to town of Rumšiškės hoping to find a path in the frozen Nemunas river, but they are unaware that their road from Warsaw to Konigsberg may be cut by Platov’s Cosacks and regular Russian army…

On 27th of October 2016 the restored Aristavele manor-house of the XVIII century and the Wooden Built Heritage Conservation, Research and Training Center therein was opened for society, community of culture, wooden heritage specialists. It also marks the end of the project activities. More than 125 persons attended this event.
